Azimuth Quest and Challenge: Blog 1
Welcome to the first blog entry for the new Azimuth Quest Foundation/Challenge Program website. And while the website is new, the Foundation and Challenge go way back; Azimuth Quest was formed in 2018, and Challenge at Prescott High School began in 2019 and has continued (other than for some pandemic-related disruptions) since then. We have just been too busy getting kids out into the outdoors to focus on such things as websites and social media. And for you history buffs, there are even deeper roots to what we are doing, direct connections to Outdoor Experiential Education programs and organizations that date back to the 1970’s and even earlier. Plan to check back soon because we will be adding some content about that history; it is a real Arizona-based story of the difference a small group of dedicated adults can make in the lives of young people.
So explore around the website to learn a little about Azimuth Quest and Challenge, maybe sign up for our news updates, maybe follow us on Instagram, maybe even get involved in some way. We think we are doing important work with and for youth, and would love to share some of it with you.
Oh, and P.S., were not the only ones who think we are doing important work, we have a number of local and national organizations partnering with us and supporting what we do, including the REI Cooperative Action Fund. More on that soon! See you on the trails!
